ya i managed to haggle a shop owner down like 50 bucks for one :) I used a print ad someone had put out in the paper. it wasn't till i left the store that i was reading in more detail and realised the price on the ad was actually for a smaller module but hey, i got my 4m module for 50 bucks cheaper woo!

This is real cool .. Well, geeky cool anwyay. Dude connects to the internet using an old 1964 acoustic modem at 300 baud. I remember my brother connecting to BBS's on his blazing 1200 baud .. my first was 2400 .. This demo brings me back .. ahhhh

heh, on that Atari I posted earlier I remember connecting to Compuserve with a 300 baud modem, I was allowed to use it very rarely because it required dialing to California and ran our phone bill way up so I didn't get to do it very often or for very long.
