OpenWarfare Trial Weekend

here's a list of some of the stuff that was changed, we can play with a lot of it and many options will keep being added
we will try to be running this starting friday night, hope we get a good group of peeps

-=gameplay=-

did not
enable spawn protection.
enable strategy time which allows for a few seconds after a round starts for planning
enable server kicking after player is in spectators for too long
remove any perks
adjust any weapon's damage

did
removed hit icon altogether
changed the heigh at which you die/take damage when you jump
anti-bunny hopping
not showing whether players are dead or alive
able to dissarm exploves and able to re use them. takes 5 seconds.
removed over head enemy and friedly names
removed laser beam from claymores
moved progress bar to bottom of the screen
enabled forced autoassign team
enabled headshot, knife, and regular blood splatter
enabled team balance check at 10 seconds and enforce in 5 seconds
enabled move idle player to spectators after 180
enabled voting for restart map, next map, change map.

removed flashing flags letting you know someone is taking it
removed annoucements

-=in hq (king of the hill)=-

removed flashing icons when taking and when destroying

-=in sabotage=-

removed bomb carrier icon
removed sound when someone is planting
removed briefcase

-=hard poitnts=-

added hardpoitns cycle, you can keep getting htem as long as you are alive
3,5,7,10,15,17 and so on
removed announcemnt of enemy UAV, chopper, and airstrike
removed airstrike and chopper kills from going towards your streak
changed the amount of an enemy's body the chopper has to see to attack
from 30% to 50%

did not activate the time limitation between choppers or airstrikes
did not change the amout of health the chopper has

Last night was fun. This shit is definately ultra-hardcore and will seperate the man from the boys. This will teach you the different skins very quickly. I thought there would be alot more tk's then there was, that's good.

The only thing that has to go is the whole press F to spawn thing although, to be honest, I got used to it after a while.

so i guess we putting it back to normal till next trial.

for the most part everyone liked the chagnes.

the only bitch is getting people to play. we didn't get much traffic other than our own all weekend.

compared to normally wehre we get plenty of stragglers.

i liked it. need to do something about the snipers though. even if it's just a new skin for one of the teams. if the mod takes off, EVERYONE will start using snipers and it will ruin it.

I really liked the mod, however, I hated the problems in distinguishing the skins. Maybe I'm just terrible or have horrible eyesight, but I'll be damned if I could tell the difference between SAS and Spetznaz. The idea of the mod is to make the game more realistic, and, in real life, it's MUCH easier to tell friend from foe. I know this first hand!!! LOL. I promise I never shot at one of my own boys out there. It's really just with the SAS and Spet maps. I never have issues with FF in USMC vs OpFor maps. I think if we could make all maps OpFor vs USMC maps I would LOVE that (not to mention it fits with the times).

Apart from that, I'm having a blast playing with all the posse again. The wife got a bit pissed at me recently for too much games so I gotta cut down but still ill hop in when I can!!

we will probably take off the the ranking so that we get all the guns right off the bat that way we don't have
to start all over.

i don't mind ranking either but i don't know about the random person that joins us. i think they might be high
level and won't want to start all over and get owned by those that have higher levels already.
