I don't know if I should be ashamed to say it, but I like alot of those cars they are laughing at. Sure, alot of them look like someone tried to superglue something on their car, but I think some look really good.

I get reved at by more rice and 6cyl mustangs than real cars. Seriosuly, how does a lip with 4000 corners and 24 tiered 'wings' look good? I'll never understand putting a spoiler on everything, especially the shit that's alluminum and looks like someone just made it in their garage. It needs to look like part of the car or keep it the fuck off. God I hate rice...

The only thing worse are perfomance trucks. Am i rite Josh?

Damnit, it just makes me really miss my 10 second Mustang.
3rd dumbest decision I ever made was selling that car.

No I didn't trade it, and the thing of it is unlike a 10 second Civic it didn't take a whole lot to make the Mustang run 10 seconds. Still had a stock 5.0 liter engine with only minor modifications made, nothing internal (i.e. didn't have to change crankshafts, pistons, or fuel compnents).
Total cost to make it a 10 second car was around $3000 - $3500.
I didn't have a lot of top end speed, the car was all about acceleration, no nitous, no supercharger, no turbo's. Just plain good ol' v8 horespower and gear ratios.
Anyway, I sold the car for what it cost to build it to a 10 second car and paid off my taxes owed for that year.

I've got to hear this one. You're saying I can get some car like this for $4000, put $3000 with no forced induction into it, and get into the 10s? I'll admit I don't know a lot about mustangs, but that seems way too good to be true. Just what kind of gear work did you do? Does it just have 1st like a monster truck or something?

3:23 Rearend Gear Ratio, T1 transmission, Hi performance coil, 2 1/4" Headers with straight pipes exhaust (no cat converters) racing performance computer chip, ladder bar traction and air bag traction system. Hooked up with 265 55 r 16 Tires. Converted over to electric fan and disconnected the Air conditioning. Spilt fire spark plugs, RAM clutch and aluminum driveshaft. I'm trying to remember what else we did to it, wasn't a whole lot more, but yea, that will get ya into the 10's. This was all done on a 1985 Mustang GT. I know we did do a couple other things, I'm just not remembering them right at this moment. I ran the strip here in the low 11's my first couple runs. I managed to hit 10.413 as my best time, a better driver may have been able to squeeze a tiny bit better, but I think that was just about the best it would do.
Bad thing was highway driving at 55mph pushed the Tac to over 3000 rpm's in 5th gear, so you can imagine this gear ratio is insanely low, 1st gear was like driving a truck in 4 wheel low, well not quite that bad, but not far off either. The most fun was keeping the car looking completely stock and every Joe Blow wanted to race it and always telling me "I blow Mustangs away all the time", heh, they never said much afterwards.

Oh yea, for drag times I ran half a tank of 95 Octane fuel mixed with half a tank of CAM2 racing fuel. That was when I shaved a full second off of my times.

It started with Japanese cars, which pro-American made car owners called rice burners. So when people started throwing dumb shit on civics like 4" exhaust tips so the car sounds like a damn weed wacker, and spoilers on FWD cars, the term was dumbed down to ricers.
