turns out i can buy them from my gf's laptop (mac) but it doesn't matter. so far i've picked up mw3 and max payne 3. only because i want to be part of the statistic showing that when newer games are priced at $30, MANY more people will buy them. eventually these idiots might realize the benefit of properly pricing their games.

skyrim at $30 ... i can't decide if i'll like that game. everyone raves about it but i usually get bored of those types of games in a few hours.

Same here. I think I'll just wait for the holiday sale when it'll be like $10 or 20

Actually, I haven't .. I've heard you talk about it though. They're all under $10 but which one it worth getting? There's 3 and then a bunch of 'special' versions

fallout chewed up a lot of my time though it was buggy when i stopped playing it and it uses the unholy Games for Windows Live *shudder*, err i'm assuming you mean fallout3 not new vegas, i haven't played new vegas. Did they ever figure out how to add ladders in new vegas? I still remember watching the interview where they admitted that the reason there were no ladders in FO3 was because, game engine wise, they just couldn't figure out how to code them and they decided it was better for the budget to simply not use any, lol, good old bethesda.

Metro 2033 is a good play, more post-apocalyptic feel to it than FO3 but it's also more 'on rails' then FO3 and not as 'sandbox'. it's also on sale right now for like 5 bucks.

mirror's edge is also 5 bucks but i played it on the ps3, i thoroughly enjoyed that one tho but i would imagine the controls on the pc would prolly suck :/ unless, gamepad, i guess, but i don't have one for my pc, meh.

I picked up QUBE for less than 4 bucks and its almost a Portal-ish game minus the witty AI banter and so far pretty devoid of story other than a few cryptic cut scenes. very fun 1st person puzzler and its worth 4 bucks. I've logged 4 hours in game and a lot of that was in the pause menu while i ran after my kid and i'm apparently 2/3 of the way through so, kinda a short one but again, 4 bucks, meh.

Two Worlds 2 is about 20 and it's a pretty in-depth sandbox elder scrolls kind of game so if you enjoyed Skyrim then two worlds 2 might be up your alley but i picked it up during a diff sale at a cheaper price than 20 bucks, dunno if its 20 bucks worth, its not as sandbox and as good as skyrim looks but then again i haven't played skyrim yet, waiting for it to hit 20 bucks.

anyone else have any recommendations? at this point i dunno what else is good on sale :/

Edit: just finished QUBE, there are only 7 "sectors" , or levels, instead of the 9 you wold think because they use a 3x3 cube to dot them off as you pass them which lead me to think ok, 9 levels but no, 7 levels. QUBE has about 3 to 8 hours of solid puzzle action for you. its still 50% off for 7 some odd dollars if you didn't get it when it was like 3.50

Fallout 3 is worth the try. it'll just take time to go through it.

I played New Vegas for some time and i didn't find it that interesting, i was thinking of loading it up again just to give it another chance.

i wanted to buy portal 2 during the sale but i haven't hmmmm hah

haven't really seen anything that's a must buy. i might pick up Metro 2033 at that price, seems worth it.
