as the average american gets dumber and dumber, they have to cut shows that require too much thought.

at least hbo was honest about why they canned Rome. the show was just too expensive to produce, and not enough people watched it. shame, it was one of the best shows ever made.

HBO is notorious for putting out some of the best shows ever watched. <3

Rome was decent, but it was hard to get into sometimes. Another one of those if you miss one episode, you're kinda confused unless you know the actual history.

yeah no kidding. i was thinking about that the other day. i think that is why tv shows are starting to put stuff in their shows that actually USE the commercials as tools for the show. lost does it. they occassinally will have a commercial in the break that will give a link to a website where you can learn more about the show. i figured it's a way for them to sort of force people to watch the commercial.

it could get bad though you're right.

well with Tivo or whatever its called, people are gonna watch commercials less and less, cause now u can just start watxhing your show 15 mins late and just fast forward thru all the commercials i know i would if i had it lol

soon people wont want to advertise on TV and the only good spots will be right before break and after break lol

everything else will be a waste of time im sure

but this is only gonna hurt us in the long run, when we have to pay $200+ for cable and we wonder why its gone up so much, its cause advertising isnt flipping the bill anymore, im sure as time goes we will all notice are bills slowly going up as the shows get worse,

i can see it already the best shows are gonna be on the internet done by a bunch of students at some film school cause there bored lol,

You tard. Brighthouse is just a subsidized provider of Time Warner.

*bonk* And yeah. I do the same. The commercials rarely appeal to me anymore.

Anyone remember the Honda Element commercial with the crab? That one I'll watch.

eventually they'll have to charge us for it

because tv shows aren't made to entertain us they are made so that we watch
commercials

they just recently came out with the technology to tell advertisers who actually
sits and watches teh commercials and who fast fowards through recordings

when they get that info they'll start wanting to pay less and less

they are also trying now to do stuff like commercial free and the show is brough
to you by Chevy and they mention it over and over or pop it up at the bottom
during the show, like in sabado gigante theres no commercials, they just
stop and they start talking about the product that is spocering the segment

and lets not forget eventaully shows will be made and you'll just pay 99cents
and download them to your tv

it kind of sucks to think that some day stumbling onto a show you never knew
about or a movie you've never seen and you were flipping through the channels
and stopped for whatever reason and it turns out to be awsome, that'll be dead

you'll have to rely on someone who took a chance on a show and tells you
its good and you hand with people that are like you so you'll be in this little
world of tv with no weird shit you would have never watched

yeah i need sleep
