Adelphia

Postby Azriel on Sun Aug 20, 2006 9:30 pm

can suck my left nut. Just moved into my new apartment on wednesday, cable guys come an hour and a half late thursday afternoon to turn on cable and internet. They hook eveything up and the TV's are fuzzy and the internet dosnt work at all. They mess around with a few wires in my laundry room to find that they need to completly re-wire my apartment for cable. Awsome. So now im left with a shitty TV reception and no cable. The two hick cable guys say that they will take care of the situation. They say that they will put in the work order immediatly and that the good people at Adelphia will call us (myself and my roomate). So here we are, no internet and no call from Adelphia. First day of classes is tommorrow and the only way to get in contact with my teachers is if i drive all the way downtown and go to the library. See you guys in 3 weeks (FU** you adelphia).

Sorry for the bad grammar, im typing super fast and just wanted to give a little summary to fill you guys in. later

Dishnetwork bounces a signal across my property.. and I just happen to be a do-it-yourself type of person.

Or a simple solution for others that don't want the expense of satellite you can split it 4 ways which is what I did in the past.
One person gets a 4 room/IRD setup which is around $60 a month for the base package.
Once the IRD's are programmed, you can simply rent out 3 of them for $20 a month each. Free Tv once again..

Adelphia was bought out by comcast up here. So I guess comcast / adelphia (both decided?) that it was best not to tell the people that have contracts with them. So I pay my Adelphia bill thinking everything was ok. Sent in the bill 2 weeks before it was due. Find out 1 week after it was due that our checks were not cashed because we made them out to Adelphia, and not comcast. (Our bad I guess?) So we got slapped with a reconnection fee as well as a strike on my credit, since this bill is under my name. GG adlephia > me.

Same thing happened down here. But my roomate pays the bill on-line so it wasnt a big deal.
